Football season is winding down. Our last regular season game was last weekend. The team scored a whopping 2 touchdowns all season and lost every single game. We pay $18 to play in a tourney that is this weekend. Two games, that’s it. Then we will be done with “Football 2008”.
Next week is wrestling sign ups. Lincoln is ready. Lincoln has been ready. Henry was going to wrestle but has been talked into indoor soccer by this father. Okay by me.
Halloween was fun and simple this year. Henry was the “Ghost Riders” cousin. He dressed in “biker” gear with black jeans, black belt, black t-shirt, black leather coat and then donned a green scary guy mask and put a blue/black flame bandana around his head. When we went trunk-r-treating he rode his chopper bicycle. He was stylin’. Or so he says. On Halloween night he changed his costume to “skateboarder kid”….yeah. He looked like your average 9 year old kid but he did really feel he was in costume. He turned his baseball cap around backward as he approached the doors to trick-r-treat and when he walked away from the door, he turned the bill around to the front. *shrug* whatever kid. Your costume didn’t cost me a dime. Thank you for suggesting your own costume. Lincoln was a football player and sported Henry’s football gear. He loved it. Again, didn’t cost me a dime. Morgan was a fairy and wore wings and a tutu she received for Christmas last year. I did buy her a pink long sleeved shirt and pink leggings to wear – both of which she will wear this fall/winter. Colby bought her a fairy package which included another set of wings & fairy wand and a package of fairy glitter/make-up. We got out of this Halloween pretty cheaply. Thanks kids!
My dryer tried to die on me. Colby came through and rescued me and refused to let the dryer quit. 3 different things broke on it but he replaced them and we are up and running again. I did go to the laundry mat one evening for 2.5 hours but I knocked out 13 loads while I was there for $22.25!
I’m really enjoying my life and where I’m at right now. I don’t enjoy my job so much, but everything really is coming into place. I love Colby so much. I love our life together and who we are together as a couple. Henry is great, Lincoln is great – I’m enjoying him so much now and Morgan has changed/matured/adjusted and I love spending time with her too. The 3 kids get along fairly well but we have our normal bickering. I’m reading a book that is giving me some new ideas on how to handle Lincoln and Morgan.
This upcoming weekend is a kid weekend.
We have football Friday night, cub scout popcorn pick up Saturday and another football game. Sunday is church with Henry being an acolyte, Christmas play rehearsal and then Colby & I have a cub scout council meeting at night. Oh, and if Colby has his way – lotso cleaning and organizing this weekend too. Reduce! Reduce! Reduce! :-)
