Why can't I get in the blogging mood? Each day I think about blogging, things come to me that I know I want to blog about... I read numerous other blogs... yet I can't muster up the oompf to blog myself. Life has got busy but I have the time at work, and even at home for that matter, to blog. Oh well, I'm here today.

Celso and I had started filling out the divorce papers weeks ago and then we just let it sit. I was supposed to work on the child support worksheets and it didn't look fun so I forgot about it. Celso is on me to finish the papers so I'm working on those. The math is crazy.. algebra formulas and code... Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

School is going great for the boys. I attended all 3 of the boys back-to-school nights. Signed up for different jobs for the holiday parties, signed up for field trips and met new parents.

So after school they walk home together and so far that is working out great! They call me when they get home, I usually talk to all 3, the fix a snack/drink then either watch TV or do homework.
Mondays they stay at the house and spend the night. We fix their favorite dinners, we'll make it movie/game night and just spend good times together.
Tuesdays and Thursday, I have to take Bryant to soccer practice and Henrique & Henry go to soccer practice for Henrique's team. Wednesday Henry has soccer practice and we all go to that. After Henry's practice Henry and Lincoln go to Celso's to spend the night. I go home and crash or I shower and go out!
Friday nights the boys also go to Celso's for the night... I have been going out every Friday night!
Saturday Henry has his games at 9am each week - nice and easy to keep track of. Henrique has most on Saturday but times are all over the place and he has several on Sunday - blah! Bryant has all but 1 on Saturday and again the times are early morning, afternoon and late afternoon.

Knob Noster State Park Aug 5th

Da Boys

Stinky Linky
Me!

Oooh, couple more tidbits.

First, I feel younger now than I have in the few years. I hate to use this excuse but I've felt like only a "mom" and "wife" for years I guess. Now I can go from being that "mom" that I love to "me". Whoever that is... but I'm having fun finding out. Celso has the boys spend the night with him on Wendesdays and Fridays. Not only do I not have "kid duty" but I SLEEP ALL BY MYSELF! It was lonely for the first night but I got over it QUICK! haha
I've been out playing pool, hanging with friends, drinking and surfing the computer, haha. It's all gude.

Country music! I'm in love... my newest thing. When we went to SuperSplash on my birthday they had it piped in to a local station and I have only changed the radio dial a few times. Some of my favorites are:

Me And My Gang - Rascal Flatts
Findin' A Good Man - Danielle Peck
Brand New Girlfriend - Steve Holy
If You're Going Through Hell - Rodney Atkins
Give It Away - George Strait
Firecrackers And Ferris Wheels - Blue County
Ain't My Day To Care - Bomshel
California Girls - Gretchen Wilson
Eighth Of November - Big & Rich
Feels Just Like It Should - Pat Green
Swing - Trace Adkins
Would You Go With Me - Josh Turner
Yee Haw - Jake Owen
Honky Tonk Badonkadonk - Trace Atkins
She Thinks My Tractor Is Sexy - Kenny Chesney
Girls Lie Too - Terri Clark
Redneck Yacht Club - Craig Morgan

Ack.... 10 days since I've blogged. Let me pull out my calendar and see what's happened.

The weekend of the 3rd/4th we went camping. Henry, Lincoln and I along with 2 other families from my parenting group. We went to Knob Noster state park which was about 1.5 hours away. I would have drove twice that far to get to someplace that had water. It was 100+ Saturday and Sunday and that was just too much... for sitting outside, playing around and not having a body of water to cool off in. PLUS on Saturday after lunch we decided to do a trail hike. We looked at the map and picked the 2/3 of a mile trail. Fine. Good. EXCEPT WE DIDN'T DO THAT TRAIL! AAAHHHHH! We got off that trail and got onto one that was 2 MILES! In 100 degree heat! It was not fun... we all ran out of water early on, Lincoln tuckered out early and Jeff was our savior and carried Lincoln on his shoulders more than half the hike. Thank you Jeff! Henry even was fizzling out towards the end so I carried Lincoln and Jeff gave Henry a piggy back ride. When Jeff offered Henry didn't believe him... thought he was too big to be carried. heehee If Jeff hadn't been there and willing to carry my kids, oh my, I don't like to think about what would have happened.
What was nice about this trip was the company :o) Jeff and Laura and their one year old daughter Elise. Tracy, Virgil and their 15 year old son Taylor and their baby girl Ruth. We also shared the meal responsibilities. Tracy provided the lunch on Saturday, Jeff cooked dinner and I did breakfast on Sunday. If we cooked then someone else did the dishes. Worked out great!
The drive was short so that was a plus… I really dislike driving.

Monday the 7th I took off from work and played all day! No kids!

Last week was Henry’s last full week with the Field Trip Club. Today is his last day. Last they did: Wallace & Gromit, Cabella’s, ice cream floats at this new awesome T-Rex café!, Museum of History, movie Curious George, cold treats at Sam’s club, movie Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, JoCo County Fair, roller skating and Powell Gardens for the Festival of Butterflies. Pick up 3 days was at Burger King, their favorite joint. They get to pick anything off the menu J Friday she let them get anything plus ordered fries for everyone to split.
Today its raining so they are seeing a movie I think then eating strawberry shortcake at Ruby Tuesday.

Saturday Henrique, Henry, Lincoln and I went to the JoCo fair to watch the parade. It was hot but it could have been a lot worse. We met some friends down there, went to have lunch with them afterwards and then went back to the house to hang out some. That night Celso took all 4 boys to a birthday party and I went to the hospital to visit a friend. It wasn't under the conditions I would have liked but we did have a really nice visit.

School starts Wednesday with a half a day… 8:25-11:40am. Thursday is their first full day…
8:25-3:35pm.

I did super with my vacation/sick time this year. I’m super stingy with it and save, save, save. (Why can’t I be that good with money?) My work anniversary is August 28th so I have to use my days before that… use ‘em or loose ‘em. So I get to take tomorrow and Wednesday off and then Monday the 21st and Friday the 25th. I’m happy that I get to take the kids Wednesday and pick them up.

I’m trying to work up the nerve to ask my big boss man to let me skip my lunches and leave at 3pm every day so I can pick up Henry from school or at least be home when he gets home. Henrique & Bryant will be walking home with him and I’m not ready for them to stay alone quite yet. Maybe later in the year but not to start off with.

Saturday night I got a call from my church asking if I’d be interested in teaching Sunday school this year. I said I think that I would so I agreed to go to training yesterday after worship and Sunday school. As soon as I saw the requirements and expectations I then realized what I had got myself into. I’ve volunteered for various kid things before but I was just another adult present to help crown control. Haha. Now I’ll be the actual teacher, having to plan my lessons and teach and lead. Oh boy. Not what I expected but I’m still excited, leery of the long commitment I’ve made but I’ll manage. Henry is very excited!

After church we went home for a quick lunch then I took Henry to a birthday party for one of his friends at Pump It Up.

Today marks the start of the “busy” season for me/us. School and soccer start along with the many, MANY other activities that go along with school.

Tonight is “sneek-a-peek” night at school where they meet their teacher and see the classroom. Tomorrow I don’t work and will be hanging out with the boys all day. Wednesday I don’t work and will get to take and pick up from school that day. Wednesday night is Henry’s first soccer practice. Thursday is their first day of school and that night is Lincolns last session with is fanstically-fabulous, speech therapist. She came last Thursday and when she left Lincoln said “I luvv Ms. Paula” We all do really.

Friday is school and soccer practice that night.

Saturday I hope to take all the boys swimming… at night we’re going to a BBQ with another family. Sunday is “church day” as the boys call it.

Next week we have 2 back-to-school nights, Henry has a dentist appt, Celso has a sports seminar to go to and the 26th soccer games start!

A girl from Kansas and a girl from the east coast were seated side by side on an airplane.

The girl from Kansas, being friendly and all, said, "So, where ya from?"

The east coast girl said, "From a place where they know better than To use a preposition at the end of a sentence."

The girl from Kansas sat quietly for a few moments and then replied:

"So, where ya from, bitch?"

I'm 30! I'm old! and I'm sore! LOL

I had a GREAT birthday! Of course I've been kinda celebrating for a could weeks now Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yesterday I woke up earlier than I would have liked but I went to Starbucks and got a Java Chip Frappucino - Venti (which is the large!). Then I met Celso at the elementary school to enroll the boys. We talked with the principal and she basically insisted Bryant go on to the 4th grade. Said she'd help in (special classes, organization, etc). Celso wasn't so keen on the idea and even said "Okay, but I don't want to do this again next year and want him to repeat the 4th grade".
Then I went to go renew my drivers license and I passed the written test 100%! Henry was so proud of me, haha.
Then we picked up Henrique & Bryant and went to Super Splash USA! I LOVE that place, as do the boys. We got there about 10:45am and left right at 4pm. Lincoln was asleep by 4:15 I bet and nearly slept ALL night... he did wake about 7pm for 20 VERY grouchy minutes but then fell back asleep. One thing I leaned is to make the kid wake up and go the bathroom... Lincoln pee'd the bed last night. He asked this morning if he was a little baby. (Babies pee the bed, not big boys like Lincoln) Poor kid!
The kids and I had a blast yesterday. Celso gave me $ for my bday gift so I was able to splurge and buy lunch for all of us at the waterpark - fed all of us for only $21 which I think is a deal. I even dropped another $5 for snowcones just before we left.
Today the bottoms of my feet are sore - I think they are sun burnt AND raw from the rough pool bottoms. The back of my legs are sun burnt, my right knee is stiff, my legs and back aches, haha, I AM old now! 30! Nah, I need to exercise seriously. :) I feel focused and have a new found energy to get back on track to being healthy, loosing weight and being more fit!

School starts 2 weeks from today. Wonder who's more excited - the kids or me?!

My mom has been suffering with job. The 2 girls she works with are impatient with her (so am I) snap at her (so do I) and have made her cry (so do I). Cowinkydink? Or is my mom an emotional mess? She went to the HR lady, who went to the GM who ended up talking with the girls... smart idea?! I didn't think so... my mom got the cold shoulder for a couple days which nearly made her quit (ahhhh!) but I guess they are on the mend and things are even better now than they were before. Oh please, oh please, oh PLEASE let this work out for her! She needs the job and we both need the $$!!

Things are going to start changing around work... and not for the better. The leasing manager that comes to this office every third week - is moving back to KC. This is a HUGE event and something BIG BIG BIG is happening. They aren't tell us, but in order for him to move back to KC, from where he moved away from 7 years ago, bought a freaking huge log cabin 3-5? years ago, bought/build/made his own restaurant up there - sold it ALL and is moving back HERE. To Kansas, which is wife hates. From a resort town in Idaho. ??? SOMETHING is up. Big. When I was told he was moving back here my stomach was turning for 2 hours and I immediately got a lump in the throat. Not good. Our other office has something cooking up. Wonder when we'll be told or figure it out... things that make you go hmmmm!
