Wonderful night last night... ranks up in the top 10 in the last 6 months at least.
I left work as usual and picked up Lincoln and in the middle of the dozen calls from Henry he informs me he need Valentine Day cards for girls. The ones my mom bought for him are for boys and he wants girl cards. Well Lincoln had a great day at daycare and I told him he could have a treat so off we go to the dollar store. We get girly Valentines, Lincoln gets his treat and we head home.
Colby gets there, snarfs down his fastfood lunch (at 6pm) and we head out the door to scouts. Lincoln and I sit seperate from everyone so we can work on his homework. He finishes, scouts finish and we go pick up dinner, get the car washed/rinsed off and head home. We all eat, get the boys into bed and this is the best part - -
Colby was home ALL NIGHT LONG. No calls! I don't think I've ever had a night like this. He was home early enough to go to scouts WITH us (didn't have to meet us), came home with us and stayed home! We cuddled, talked and slept all night without the phone ringing. LOVED IT!
I'm taking off from work early to pick Henry up and take him to the doctor. He needs a "well child" visit so we can fill out some daycare papers. He hasn't had a "well child" visit in 2.5 years. He has been to the ER and urgent care but hasn't had a regular doctor visit. He's pretty "well" I think. :-)
Tonight the boys get to see their play therapist. Henry had seen her once but we stopped before winter break for scheduling reasons. Lincoln I know would also benefit from this so back in December I requested for 2 appointments at the same time, or 2 appointments back to back. I got a call a couple weeks ago - they have a 6:30 & 7:30 open on Tuesday for the same therapist so we're going with that. Tuesday is one of our busiest nights but this is important so we're doing what we have to in order to make it work. Currently, Colby and I are attending Love and Logic classes from 6:30-8:30pm. Like I said, I'll make it work.
