I live!
I read so many other blogs on a daily/weekly basis and keep up with their lives and I've just been horrible on updating mine. I just wasn't feeling the bloggy spirit and when I was, I wasn't near a computer. Seems a common time for me to get in the blogging mood is when I'm driving, of all times! I just find time to be alone and think and then want to document/record my thoughts and our lives.
What really prompted this was last week I was updating my 2008 family calendar I created in Excel and just for kicks, I opened and read the first Excel calendar I created - in 2002. It was mighty interesting and that is exactly why I want to document my thoughts and the daily happenings - to read it myself 5 years later, have the kids read it 10 years later.. and phooey on the kids if they don't find it interesting. I know I will in 5 years or 50 years.

I have so much I can/should update on, it's hard to pick a spot to begin.

Biggest news is I'm offically and legally divorced! I'm happy to say it but I don't feel any different - not that I expected to but I do like to be able to list my 'status' as divorced now. :) However, in the same breath, I'm not single either. Colby and I are still together and are dating but it's more serious than that. This month marks us being together for 10 months. We haven't spent the night away from each other in many months. It's been over a month since we slept at his place. We used to stay Tuesday nights over there and on the weekends he has Morgan but now we just stay at my house. Morgan has her own bed and it just makes things easier - for the boys and me anyway. Colby & Morgan (Morgan more so) are adjusting. We are working on him moving into my house, cleaning his house up and getting it rented. Then somewhere in there, buy our own house, get married and have a couple kids. :-) He is such a great guy. I love depending on him, feeling I CAN depend on him, love feeling that he is really IS a partner and he is such a giver - offers his support without me asking, offers his touch without prompting, offers his love 24/7. He's a dream!

I have a roommate! My friend and her daughter, moved in, kinda, sorta, in December but she didn't start staying the night until January. She's helping me out and I'm helping her and it is working out nicely.

I kinda have a new job. My boss, Sherman Dreiseszun, died the morning of December 3 in his home. The next day we find out that the office is closing - that Friday and we're being moved to the Mission office to work for his nephew, Tom Morgan. The funeral was on Wednesday and afterwards we learned that we would not be moving that Friday, but the following Friday.
So on December 17th, we started at the Mission office. Drive is about 10 minutes more, we have to dress-up Mon-Thurs with jeans allowed on Friday. The new office is very "office-y" and doesn't make for a happy Kara. Ah well, I have a job.

This has taken me hours to write - on and off at work - so I'm closing for now with the intentions to pick back up and blog regularly. I want to blog about my family!
