What the hell, I'm bored so I'll blog. I'll give you an update of my life and the lives that surround me but this is the Cliffnotes version.

*I'm loosing weight again but I feel disgusting. I feel fat and I hate feeling fat. I'm down nearly 10# from my top weight. The heaviest I've ever been.

*I've taken Henry off dairy. ALL dairy products. Been very hard to do and we slip up with butter or a restaurant product that may have dairy in it but I've been very good for over a month keeping him away from dairy 98%. He's been off dairy for 2 months at about an 80% success rate. I'm about to give up - I'm not seeing any difference.

*I've given up on trying to fight my "chronic sinus infection" naturally. I've, umm, this is gross, but have been hacking up crap for a year or so now. It doesn't really bother me but several months ago I decided to try and cure myself/fix it, whatever. I spent probably $200 on herbal stuff, medicine and what have you and not a single thing made a dent. So I finally changed doctors, been wanting to do that, and they gave me a steroid nasal spray, decongestant and an antibiotic. The spray made my nose itch like mad, the decongestant made my nose drip like a facet and the antibiotic did nothing. Went back and he gave me a stronger antibiotic and a steroid shot in the arm. Again, nothing. Not a single sign anything was working. My face has even gone numb and tingly a few times... me no likey! Now I'm on reflux medicine, had a CT scan yesterday and have an appt with an ENT doc April 27.

*Lincoln started a new daycare! Montessori preschool actually. It is right in the middle between Celso and I. I LOVE not having to drive across the highway to the other part of the town. Saves me 20-30 min a day in drive time. Yippee!
Lincoln stopped taking naps early summer last year and was getting up fine, going to bed fine and I was sure he was done needing naps. At his new school, he takes naps everyday! He gets so much physical and mental stimulation that he's exhausted! I know he's getting cared for great, she feeds them terrificly healthy meals that I'm pleased with and he plays outside and is always under control. He minds well because she has the upper hand and doesn't let him get away with anything.

*Henry is doing much better in school. I don’t know if it is HE that is doing better or the teacher is backing off. He still brings home his "behavior notebook" everyday but it is so much better than in the beginning. I told him "I didn't care" several weeks ago... he tries to explain WHY he got "no's" but I always respond "I don't care"... because I don't. I know he's a good kid and that is all that matters.

*Divorce. I'm going through it. Celso filed 2/27 and I finally went to court on 3/14 and asked "Did he really file?" they said yes and I had to go downstairs to the sheriffs office and pick up my papers - which I did. Since then I've been waffling on "responding" on my own, typing up the papers and BSing my way through it. OR getting a lawyer. Most charge $2500 but I did find out that charges $1500 and came highly recommended and I liked him when I talked to him on the phone.
I did call legal aid and qualify for some level of assistance. They will assign me a lawyer for $1027 or I can get a referral to a lawyer clinic. I opted for the clinic and I have an appt tonight to meet with a lawyer, review my case and see how much it'll cost. I also have an appt with that $1500 lawyer Monday morning.

*I filed out income taxes and we got a hefty return. I kept Celso's half for a few days, again waffling on it wondering if I should keep it for insurance. I ended up giving it to him and if he doesn’t fork over some $$$ by tomorrow, then it's like I shot myself in the foot.
Anyway, this is my way of justifying that I spent $200 on myself - I am getting my teeth whitened. I waffle on doing it or not because of needing money for the lawyer but I really also wanted a boost for myself - so I did it. Picked up the custom trays and gel last night!

*Work is so different these days. My boss isn't doing well health wise so it has changed the dynamics of the work environment so much. I no longer print his emails out in 20 bold font, I read them to him. I program his cell phone. I drive him home on days he doesn't feel well and I feel it is too risky for him to drive. I don't give him some telephone calls if he's sleeping. I serve him ice cream twice a day. Yes, ice cream. We have a freezer in the office JUST for ice cream. 2 scoop cones at 10am and a sundae at 2pm.

*Friends. I have lots of friends and it feels SO good. I always can pick up the phone and call someone and cry to them, ask for their advice or just someone to pass the time.
I've been hanging with a crowd that loves karaoke. I met them on www.myspace.com back in October. They go out weekly and why I can't go with them weekly I do manage to get out once a week at least. Seems I meet up with them twice a month or so. My mom-friends, from KCAP are fabulous. Group has been around for over 3 years and it is a community. One of my friends, our friends, is in the children's hospital with her newborn baby and when I heard the news I just wanted to rush up there. Alas, only bossman and one co-worker here today and said co-worker is at lunch/getting his hair cut. But the minute he gets back, I'm leaving to go visit her and offer my support.
I know if I needed my friends they'd be there in a flash for me - and have been.
Oh! My friends! I was having a really shitty week a couple weeks ago (Celso) and they all pitched in together and bought me a Nintendo DS with games! I LOVE it! Two of them insisted I go to lunch with them, so I met them, one of the bought my lunch and then they handed me the gift! I was in complete shock and nearly cried!
Then, last Friday the friend that insisted I go to lunch with her... her family and mine (boys and I) went to dinner at Joe Crab Shack. I was hesitant because I wanted to use a coupon somewhere but I knew the kids would love it so I agreed. We got appetizers, I had 2 froo-froo drinks, the boys and I split a shrimp dinner & crab legs and my friend and her husband (who is also my friend) treated me! What a meal! Then we came back to my house, played Gamecube and let the kids run around and drip blueberry smoothie popsicles all over the place. LOL Good times! haha
My friends from Minnesota are coming to visit this weekend! I am so excited! Haven't seen them in, oh 2 years? or more... been a long time. We'll have a GREAT time!

*Sugar. Should have mentioned this back with the dairy... but the kids are off sugar, 100% All refined white process sugar is out of the house. No HFCS-High Fructose corn Syrup either! When I tell most people/moms that my kids don't eat any sugar they look like I've turned purple or sprouted a second head. At home is isn't hard to give them something else sweet that doesn't contain sugar. But at school and around classmates, it is SO hard! After the first soccer game last weekend, someone brought Oreo cookies for the snack and someone else brought CapriSun drinks. SUGAR on top of sugar!

*My nails. I am getting my nails done now... have had them for 3 weeks. I love them. I love the way my hands look with nice painted nails :)

*I'm refinancing my house. I hope to close on the loan next Wednesday. My house appraised high enough that the PMI is coming off! I qualify to keep the house myself! Celso can come off the loan and the house will be all mine!
I’m refinancing it enough that I’m paying off all the credit cards and taking cash out to do some much needed repairs around the house.

*Spring has sprung! It is nearly 80 outside today… been raining on and off for 2 weeks BUT tulips are up here at work, daffodils at home… I LOVE it!

...how was that for an update?
