Happy New Year! and SEEYA 2006!
We celebrated new years eve at my house with Celso, his sister and BIL, Lidia and the boys - my mom too of course. We ate a yummy dinner - Honey Baked Ham (we get it from Celso's aunt every year), creamed spinach, angel hair pasta, broc & cauliflower and cresent rolls.
We laughed, played the game of Life and enjoyed the evening. After they left I went out with friends to a local bar to ring in the new year and had a great time.
I'm offically NOT a fan of cheap bubbly
*hiccup* that stuff they give out at midnight is nasty!
Celso got back from his trip to El Salvador/Guatamala last Saturday. Kids & I spent most of the day with him Sunday. He brought back t-shirts from Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Just beautiful!
The limit on luggage is 50# and 2 bags. When he checked in at the airport one bag weight 78# and the other was 63#.
So he had to leave quite a bit of stuff behind. Mostly food but in order to bring some food back he had to leave some of his own clothes, oops. He did bring the usual cream and cheese and Pollo Campero we all love.
Watching the home movies he takes down there is like watching National Geographic. It is a look into another way of living that I can only imagine. I will visit there with my boys one day!
Henry and Lincoln spent last week with Lidia (and Henrique & Bryant). They went somewhere fun most days and had a good week together. Lidia is happy because Lincoln finally expresses his like for her and offers up hugs without her asking. This week we're trying to get back into the swing of things. Henry is with Margaret-Leigh and The Field Trip Club and Lincoln is back at Lisa's. I worked Tuesday night and last night. Tuesday I had my first review at my night job - received a $1.18/hr raise
and went up one level in the ladder of ETC lanyard colors.
Tonight is mom's night out, aka cooking club. I withdrew myself from CC this month but I'm still going to MNO.
Tomorrow night we're going to a friend/co-workers house. Her husband is helping Henry cut out pinewood derby car for scouts. The race is the 11th.
Saturday I work during the day and at night I have a mystery shop at a trendy bar and I'm taking a girlfriend with me. Haven't mystery shopped a restaurant in ages!
Next week school starts and we'll really be back into the daily grind. I think Henry and the boys are ready to go back to school too. I know I'm ready for the school routine again.
Oh, and I've promised Henry I'd get him a Nintendo DS and a game if he can keep his room clean for 30 days. So while that might be a while, I need to find out ON SALE and snatch it up. If anyone see one, let me know. Thanks!
