I'm sick. Last night it my cold hit me. I'm rarely sick, almost to the point I forget what it is like being sick. I'm going to buy the stuff to make a Devil's Smoothie today in hopes that'll kick this cold in the ass.

I worked yesterday from 1-6pm and I felt fine going in to work but by 6pm I was sick. I was sneezing and sneezing - just like I am this morning. The surface of my trash can here at work is covered in tissues. My nose is in a constant state of itch. AACHOO! A friend has graciously offered for me to come over today during y lunch hour to prepare this drink. I'll buy the ingredients at Whole Foods then go to her house. I'll drink this on top of taking AirBorne.

Saturday I did my first 5K walk! It was the Jared Coones run and last year they had 1500 hundred participants and this year they had 2100! YAY! Right at the first mile my thighs and butt started itching fiercely and driving me nuts! This is the reason I don't like walking... what causes this intense itching? Around mile 2 it stopped and I was fine. Right before we hit mile 3 my arms and shoulders were aching from pushing the stroller. Lincoln is 40+ pounds and he was ina double stroller which made it very difficult to steer. A friend helped push for a bit so I could stretch out and finish - which we did at 1 hour and 5 min. I could have done it in 40-45 minutes but we kept stopping to keep up with the group I was walking with. It was a great, memorable experience. Henry's classmate and friend who was recently diagnosed with t-cell leukemia walked the entire race!

Saturday we had Henry's soccer game and played the same team we did two weeks ago and they gave us a whooping! Our boys started off well but were tired by the start of the second half. They are also just a better team than us - much better skills. Now Celso wants to have practice twice a week! Just like Celso! LOL

Saturday night we at the church talent/variety show. It was great! Seems the teens and adults did the funny stuff and the kids did the talent part of the show. Henry finally learned 'Hot Cross Buns' Saturday afternoon JUST in time for the show. He did pretty good, but it wasn't perfect. I'm just so impressed that he not only said he'd do it but DID perform it in from of everyone and he wasn’t too visibly nervous. I'm very proud of him :)
