Soccer is over! We had our end-of-the-season soccer party at Blackbob party Tuesday night. One parent provided burgers and dogs and forks. I provided mac n cheese, grapes and napkins. We also had 4 bags of chips, soda/ice, watermelon and yummy chocolate treats for afterwards.
Celso gave the boys their trophies and thanked them and the parents for all their hard work this season. 4 of the boys signed up to play with Celso in the fall and the 5th boys parents are thinking about it. They just got married and will be moving soon so they need to think about what to do - which I totally understand. Her husband is 45 and this is his first marriage and he had no kids.

Baseball is in full swing but it is a fast, furious upswing and then kaboom, it'll be over. Last game is scheduled for June 20. We have 1 make up game from one heck of a storm that came Monday but that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm going through a tough time again with Celso. I'm going to go with him to his next therapist appointment which is June 22nd or 23rd. It may be a fork in the road for me that day... wish me luck and strength please! I need it.

I need a part-time job, and quick! I want to work Saturdays from 6am-2pm or so. I'm thinking of going back to Burger King just for the summer.
Just enough to pay for "The Field Trip Club’s Summer Day Camp"

I met this woman at Baskin Robbins several months ago. She had about 8 kids with her and she was sitting a table with a man (her husband) and another woman (a friend she hired for help). The kids were all ages and very mannerly. I usually get agitated at first site of a bunch of kids in an ice cream store but this was different. So different that I had to approach the woman and ask what time of group it was. She told me she does daycare and calls her business the Field Trip Club. I thought wha?! who takes daycare kids on field trips to Baskin Robbins. She told me she takes after-school kids on regular field trips (I don't know if she said daily or several times a week) but her summer kids go on 3 field trips a day! No way! She gave me her telephone number but I threw it away when we got home. Figured this was for the elite and didn't give it anymore thought. Well she called me maybe a month ago and I found out that she charges much less and it is within a reachable amount for me to pay! I'm going to talk with her Sunday and probably enroll Henry. He is so excited! He's miserable at Lisa's - Lincoln sitter. He is the "middle child" there and is bored. She has 4: 3 year old boys and 1: 4 year old girl, 1: 8 month old baby boy and her 11(12?) year old son who considers Henry a baby. Poor Henry! He asked for more homework this week to keep him busy. The older son doesn't include Henry in his activities and Henry doesn't want to watch Higglytown Heros or Blue's Clues with the little ones. Who can blame him?!
Margaret-Leigh (the owner/operator) of the FTC (Field Trip Club) sent me an email last night with their itinerary for the last week and this week. Get this, these are the places they've gone. This was last week: Tuesday - reading program at a local park, wall-climbing at another park, concert at a library, weekly library visit to yet another library. Wednesday - park/lake visit, Petland, bowling party. Thursday - birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, library for reading/computer time, playground at a local elementary school Friday - lake/park visit, scavenger hunt at the mall, McDonalds, JungleGym. This week: Monday - VBS at a non-denominational church, water safety class put on by the Red Cross, library. Tuesday - a "real" day camp at Tall Oaks which included: swimming, hay ride, snowcones and horseback riding! Wednesday - VBS, chess class , library Thursday (today) - VBS, Deanna Rose which includes: lunch, playground time, petting zoo, water play! Friday - VBS, lunch at the OP Arboretum, and then ice cream/playground at McDonalds. TALK ABOUT BUSY! WHOA!
She told me that some kids can't handle it. Some kids need routine and their only routine is that they have none. Everyday is different, busy and exciting. I do think Henry can handle it but she gives new kids a 1-2 week trial to try it out.

Tonight Henry has a baseball game and tomorrow night we're going to an outdoor concert in a local park. Saturday he has a baseball game at noon and the rest of Saturday is open! I have loads (literally) of laundry to do and my garden needs attention. Sunday mom and I are greeters at the 8:30 service and it is also pastor Jerry's last day with us so there will be a celebration afterwards. Sunday afternoon, after 2pm Henry and I will be meeting with Margaret-Leigh.

Oh, and last night was our first night going to the pools. Henry has been on me like the cheese on Cheetos to take him. I'd like to count this year and see how many times we do go to the pool since we paid for pool passes. I do want to get my money's worth! Visit #1
