ahh, 83° outside... this I can handle. When I got home Wednesday it was 92° in the house. I was a cranky, irritable bitch all night. Felt yucky, sticky and gross all night. It was moms birthday and we sure didn't feel like cooking but we did manage to eat.
I bought her a strawberry rhubarb pie and a flourless chocolate cake for her birthday. My friend is a chocolate genius and baker extrordanar so I knew I was getting good eats from her. So we all had a slice of each for dinner that night - and that's it!
Henry has been exhausted with the FTC. However I'm still not managing to get him in bed before 8pm. I do think he'll sleep in tomorrow and I'll push him to nap as well. He is enjoying the FTB but we had an "incident" yesterday. Long story short - the husband and 3 of the girls said Henry was playing soccer in the morning with those 3 girls and Henry said "Get your f'n hands off the ball". Well Henry doesn't talk like that. I've never heard him utter the F word let alone in demanding context like that. I was shocked to say the least. I would have just said the girls were lying and put it to rest but the husband said he heard Henry say it and that when he confronted Henry about it he admitted to saying it.
Like I said, I'm shocked. Either Henry said it and didn't even know what it meant or he said it and didn't even realize he said it and if that is the case where in the world did he hear that? I may curse but I don't use the F word... just not a choice word of mine. It bothers me that he said it, or rather they say he said it but when I asked Henry about it he said he didn't say it.
It's all confusing so I just told Henry, in front of ML the leader, that what is done is done, lets move on. Henry looked horrible yesterday when I picked him up. He was embarrassed by all the attention this was getting and I had told him before he started that he couldn't use potty language or he risked getting kicked out of the club. By potty language I meant: stupid, dummy or poo-poo head. Those are Henry's choice of potty/curse words - not the F word.
So today when I pick him up I hope he had a terrific day and everything went smoothly.
Tomorrow I'm helping my friend move and I think I'm having dinner with some other friends that I haven't seen in years. Last time I saw them I was pregnant with Lincoln. Henry is a month younger than their oldest so they'll have a good time. They also have a new baby that I'm thinking is about a year old now. Looking forward to seeing them.
