$30. that's all it cost to fix our a/c. Sometimes I pat myself on the back for how self-sufficient I am then other times I am shocked I can even keep this house standing.
The air filter! I needed to change the air filter was all! I've been in this house 5 years now and I've never changed the air filter. Horrible, isn't it? Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Now it has been changed, close your mouths, just not by myself. I've had some heating/cooling company come out to do their thing and they change the filter for me. Well I haven't been able to afford that so I just forgot about it. My mom called her nephew to come out (he's in school for this stuff) and he was just appalled that the cause for us to go 1 month without a/c was because of the filter. It was solid he said. Now I've seen filter before but we have additional do-hickies down stairs by our furnace so I wasn't sure what I was looking at or for. Turns out that we have a special, separate filter that takes filters 4" wide - the usual filter is 1" I guess. So now I know what size to buy and that it needs to be replaced often. So we've been sitting in a cool house since Saturday afternoon. Yay!

Yesterday I met an old friend that I used to work with at Burger King. Her husband and my husband used to be good friends by my husband lacks some important communication skills so their friendship has been non-existing, much to the digress of my friends husband. He's tired of calling Celso and initiating lunches and what not. I can't blame him - I had the same problem. I told Celso and he was surprised, big dummy!
So she, I, her husband and our 4 boys went to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. Kids had a great time and we caught up on the past few years.

Today I met up with another old friend whom also used to work at Burger King. It was a reunion weekend. Well, the Burger King we met at isn't the one we worked at but it is owned by the same person. Some of the same people work at this one now or work at both so we got to see other people we hadn't seen in years. One of which is an old boyfriend - that I had 14 YEARS ago! Gulp! and to think I'm not even 30 yet. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting He was one of my first serious boyfriends... one that my mother didn't like... one that was 10 years older than I was/am. I'm turning 30 this year and he'll be 40. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting So my friend and I sat down to have lunch and he invited himself to sit with us and tell us all about HIMSELF! ugh!
She and I promised each other that we'd get together again soon - just her and I. Good!

This afternoon I took the kids to the pool - visit #2 this year. I was able to stay out of the water entirely! It was just too cool for me - Lincoln too. He got out 3 or 4 times just to dry off, get warm and then get back in the water again. He just takes to the water like a fish though and he's able to hold his breath for a good 3 or 4 seconds now.

Henry spent the night with Daddy last night and was over there until 2:30pm today when I picked him up (for Burger King and the pool). He loves his Daddy and wanted to spend the night again tonight but we settled on him sleeping over there tomorrow night instead.

Our bunnies stink. Not horrible - like walk in the house and smell bunnies - but more than I wanted. I'm cleaning out their litter boxes daily but I smell bunny pee when I'm next to their cages. Expected I guess. What I'm still asking myself is WHY DID I GET 2 RABBITS?! I have enough to do! I don't need additional chores. Oh well, the boys enjoy them. I hope I make enough time to be with the rabbits often as I don't want them to become UNtame. They have already bit the boys once each. Not sure if it was the same rabbit or different ones. One bit cause Copper was out and was being a nuisance and the rabbit started to freak out and bit Henry on the arm. Not sure what exactly happened with Lincoln and the rabbit but it bit Lincoln on the tip of the finger. I'm guessing that Lincoln stuck his finger in the rabbits face. Neither time broke the skin - it was more of a pinch that frightened them both.

I'm looking forward to this week. I'm motivated to get some work done at work and clean off my desks. I'm leaving at 3pm on Friday to get home and get on the road for camping. Friday and Saturday night. I'm contemplating taking Henrique & Bryant. Not sure if it'd stress me out to have them come along and I'd only be setting myself up for a not-so-great weekend, or would we all have a nice time together. Maybe Celso being with us stresses me out and I'm not able to deal with them as calmly as I'd like to. Maybe I need to take them along and test myself (and them). Maybe I should not ask them to come and just focus on my boys. I know Henry, and Lincoln too probably, would enjoy them coming. I have a week to decide.
