The weekend was busy but it was a great weekend! I needed a nap on Saturday and took a quick snooze in the car on the way home from Henry's baseball game but when we got home it was time to go-go-go again!
Henry did awesome at his soccer game. I almost wanted to shout out to him to let others have a turn at scoring. I bet he made 6 goals... no goalie so its easy but several times he just got control of the ball and took off towards the goal. The other team we played was immature and not interested in playing much so we dominated them easily.
Celso said that Henrique played well and they won their game 3-1 so Celso was pleased with himself and the team.
Bryant played well again, the entire team plays really well together and just have fun!
Henry has his first baseball game Saturday. Each kid gets 5 hittable pitches and then they just get to walk to first base. No score is kept and it is coach pitch. Hate to say it, but its pretty boring. The kids had a great time and us parents enjoying cheering for them and then watching their faces just light up! Henry did so-so on hitting, he missed 50% probably. He's much better at throwing but not so good on picking up ground balls. Ah well. Soccer really is his sport.
After the games I had a couple hours to get the house picked up, decorated, buy food, wrap gifts and get my butt in gear for Lincoln's party at 5pm. When I was at the store I picked up a couple packs of wine coolers and that helped.
It really did go pretty well. Lincoln, well all the kids, had a good time. There was the Nemo pinata, balloons for them to volley around with, the croquet set that Grammy bought, the opening of gifts, brats, dogs & steaks to eat... good times.
Yesterday my mom and I were greeters at church so we get there early for that. Henry and Lincoln wanted to stay with me so they were the door openers/greeters 9 out of 10 times. They were a hit of course! Last Thursday I got their hair cut and they look like new boys... dang I wish I could share pictures. They both had long hair, unkempt looking but I enjoyed the look. I liked when the wind would blow and their hair would sway... but alas, Henry wanted short hair and Celso was pressuring me to get it cut - so I did. I just can't stop looking at Lincoln - he looks SO different! Such a handsome little man!
So at church - we go to the 8:30 service, go to Sunday School at 9:45 and then we usually head home. Henry decided that he wanted to stay for the 11am Heartland Academy. He was so enthusiastic so I let him... so I went to the 11am service and Grammy and Lincoln went home. Wow. 4+ hours at church!
Later that afternoon, Grammy, Celso, the boys and I went out to eat at Fire Mountain. Yum! I love being able to eat such a wide variety of food and not doing any prep work, cooking OR clean up! I really appreciate the times we can eat out!
For my Mothers Day gifts I received a nice, firm pillow (love it!) , a nice shirt and bra from Celso but we returned the shirt because it was too big and returned the bra because of sizing issues I just couldn't decide on a replacements so I have a credit to shop with later.
I finished up the evening with getting to watch Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. Great ending to an even greater weekend!
